No Shades of Gray

So I just found a really awesome youtube channel that is this local seattle radio station. They all this like indi..alternative..music. I dont really know how to describe other than it isn’t what i’m really used to. It definitely makes me think about hip hop and the whole state of the thing. I mean sometimes I wonder if, because ive listened to hip hop for song, I have forgot how nice it is to just “hear music”. Hip hop is so all about lyrics, wordplay and concepts..and all that good stuff. But non hip hop seems so pure. Its just like sound. Maybe its because my ear isn’t well adjusted but it seems so much chiller and less egotistical. Like the only hip hop artists i have found on here are just talking about “being high like a comet” and getting girls to swallow their milkshake. Like, how am I supposed to take that seriously? I dunno hip hop defintely has some true artists but they are just so fuking rare its insane. Its just accepted that if you are raping, your talking about money and hoes. Period. To me though, that doesnt seem like…art.
